TRI-MODE OPERATION

ETS offers an economical package for conversion of your existing Grimes

single-mode white searchlight to tri-mode operation. This conversion

adds a powerful infrared lamp to the housing, allowing ‘lights out’

operation with the use of night-vision goggles, while keeping the

full white-light search capability and landing modes.

The standard conversion replaces the lamp with new white and IR lamps,

new relays and all new wiring. Motors and new gearing can also be

replaced on an as-needed basis for minimal additional cost.

Aircraft modification requires only the replacement of the existing

searchlight power switch with a 3-position (A-OFF-B) switch, and the

addition of a second power wire from the searchlight to the switch to

supply power for the IR lamp.
